New China Propaganda Art

New China is covered with propaganda art that attempts to reinforce the desired worldview of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I took these photos of various installations in 2021. That year marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party which finally conquered the country in 1949 after years of civil war against the Nationalist Party.

Green construction walls hide huge sections of most Chinese cities that are sub-optimal in appearance (for whatever reason that might be). These walls are covered in propaganda slogans. This one says: “Chinese people seek happiness, and the Chinese race seeks rejuvenation”.
